Radicalisation on Youtube

I was watching Nazeem Hussain’s videos on YouTube. I found him while randomly browsing YouTube. I found him to be interesting and funny and his jokes are to the point.

After watching some of his videos, I realised that YouTube is suggesting Islamic videos to me. And I was wondering what is going on. I used YouTube without any account for a long time. But I cannot recall a time when youtube suggest Islamic videos for me. Most of the time I watch tech videos or documentary/news or comedy. I cannot recall if I ever watch or search religious videos including Islamic videos.

Religion is a journey

I was born a Muslim. I was told Allah exists and He created everything along with other religious teachings. I cannot recall how much of it I accepted and how much of it I rejected.

In 2016, England was touring Bangladesh. In one of the one-day matches, Tamim Iqbal altercated with English players which almost lead to physical interaction. I was watching the match on TV. As Bangladesh improve their game, Bangladeshi players become more aggressive as well - that’s my view. This aggressiveness is praised by most of the Bangladeshi fan, they appreciate it.

Same thing you will see with Virat Kohli and some other Indian player - on the field they are aggressive, most of the time, too much. But pointing out Bangladesh and India would not be fair. In my view, except New Zeland, almost of the other test playing countries show this trait from time to time. Things do not end here. Most Cricket players also cheat. And Australia takes it to another level.
